I’m Tracy Clifford and I’m a radio producer with 2FM. I learned Irish last year for Bliain na Gaeilge and I managed to broadcast a show of mine in the Gaelteacht. I’m really looking forward to being an ambassador for Seachtain na Gaeilge le Energia, it’s a really good opportunity for me to keep using my Irish and to use more Irish daily.
Michael Darragh Macauley
I’m Michael Darragh Macauley and I’m a footballer with the Dublin team. I think there is a strong link between Gaelic games and the Irish language. Everyone can use more Irish in every aspect of their lives, even playing sport, like me.
My name is Linda Ervine, and eight years ago I didn’t even have the word ‘fáilte’ in my vocabulary. I’m currently working as an Irish development officer, encouraging people from the unionist community to engage with the language. I encourage everyone to use whatever Gaeilge they have during Seachtain na Gaeilge le Energia.
Sibéal Ní Chasaide
My name is Sibéal Ní Chasaide from the Ráth Chairn Gaelteacht. I’m a singer and I took part in ceol 2019 with an Irish version of ‘Linger’ by the cranberries. I’m delighted to be an ambassador this year because I’m a very proud Irish speaker.
